Social Distancing Products and Branding for Schools, Colleges, and other Institutions
The Palmyra-Macedon Central School District needed help with their re-opening for the 2020-21 school year. Schools were abruptly shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic in March. Nearly 6 months later the school, led by Superintendent Dr. Robert Ike, the school principal’s, and buildings and grounds crews needed to implement a social distancing signage and protocol for safely welcoming back students and staff for the upcoming school year. Director of Facilities, James Carlett, led his team to implement installation of over 1,000 floor decals, wall signage, and other elements to help get the school ready for the return of students and staff.
Apogee was engaged to help design and implement a district wide graphic campaign to help promote safety, and also to help guide traffic through the halls and facilities of 4 schools within the district. Our design team re-imagined their floorplans showing suggested social distancing graphics that included one-way hallways, wall placards, outdoor directional and informational signage.
Our production and install team assisted with:
1400 Floor graphics for interior hallways
75 Outdoor flags to highlight the importance of social distancing and hygiene
50 A-frame outdoor signs posted at each entrance
100 Outdoor sidewalk graphics to re-enforce the hygiene protocol that the school is promoting
Over a 3 day period Apogee and the school staff installed all signage and banners just in time for the re-opening of school on September 9, 2020.
